Tamra Walderon

GPSG President

Tamra Walderon is the loudest and proudest member of the fightin’ Texas Aggies undergraduate class of 2021 and graduate class of 2022. Mrs. Walderon graduated summa cum laude with her bachelors degree in education in 2021. Additionally, she graduated summa cum laude with her masters degree in curriculum and instruction and received the Distinguished Graduate Award for her cohort in 2022. She is the President of the Graduate and Professional Student Government and is pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology (EPSY) with an emphasis in Bilingual/English as a Second Language (ESL) education.
She has also worked as a part-time Graduate Assistant Teacher in that department. Mrs. Walderon worked as the Curriculum Development Coordinator during her undergraduate studies and a Graduate Assistant Researcher upon entering graduate school at the Center of Research & Development for Dual Language & Literacy Acquisition (CRDLLA) and the Education Leadership Research Center (ELRC) at Texas A&M University where she was employed for nearly five years. Mrs. Walderon lives with her family in Thorndale, Texas. She is a mother of five children and grandmother to two little girls. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.

Nichole Longbottom

Grad Camp Director

Nichole Longbottom is from Keller Texas. She is currently in her second year as a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. She also holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M, reflecting her deep-rooted connection to the Aggie community. With a foundation in leadership, integrity, and tradition nurtured at TAMU, Nichole is committed to making contributions to the community and to the Biomedical Engineering field.

Whitney Mantooth

Co-Counselor Coordinator

Whitney is a PhD student in Multidisciplinary Engineering and a Research Specialist II at Texas A&M University. A proud fightin’ Texas Aggie (’16, ’18), she bleeds maroon and white. Whitney aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration across the TAMU campus.

Eneye Ajayi

Co-Counselor Coordinator

Eneye is a third-year Doctoral student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy. His current research focuses on discovering and designing targeted kinases for Breast Cancer Brain Metastases and repurposing kinase inhibitors against superbugs and neurodegenerative diseases. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Benin and worked as a clinical pharmacist in Nigeria before graduate school. Eneye is passionate about human development, especially in teenagers and young adults, and an advocate for gender equality, he is always willing and looks forward to contributing to initiatives that foster this course.

Bailey Priest

Marketing Coordinator

Bailey will be graduating in August with her masters degree in Higher Education Administration and works in the Statistics department here at Texas A&M. Before working in higher education, she was a high school history teacher and a coach for 3.5 years. When she is not at work or attending classes, she loves to travel and go fishing all around the United States.

Sanjana Kunkolienkar

Co-Logistics Coordinator

Sanjana is a third-year PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, specializing in power and energy systems research. Prior to embarking on her doctoral journey, she completed her undergraduate studies in India and gained industry experience with Siemens for three years.

At Texas A&M, Sanjana has found a vibrant community that resonates with the supportive atmosphere she values, reminiscent of home. Beyond her research, she is passionate about fostering a sense of community, bringing people together, and nurturing a supportive environment among her peers.

Jared Lilly

Co-Logistics Coordinator

Jared is a fourth year Aerospace Engineering PhD student whose research focuses on the design of morphing aerospace structures that use composite materials.

Upon graduation, he plans to work in defense and research new design approaches centered around the use of novel materials in aerospace vehicles.

He is excited to be serving on the Grad Camp 2024 team and hopes to give all attendees and incoming graduate students a welcoming event along with resources to help with their transition to life and studies at Texas A&M University.

Rob McCaffery

The Graduate and Professional Student Government exists to work in cooperation with the Texas A&M University administration to ensure that the needs of graduate and professional students are understood and considered when campus policies concerning academic excellence, tuition and finance, and research are made.
